Juan is a board certified internal medicine physician with broad leadership and management experience in clinic operations, medical cost, quality management and hospital medicine.Juan completed medical school in Bogota, Colombia, and his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Yale University—Saint Raphael Campus in New Haven, CT, where he earned several honors and awards in academic performance and research. After serving as an Acute Care Hospitalist at Philadelphia-based Cogent Healthcare, he moved to the Miami in a similar role with IPC Healthcare. His subsequent work there, included overseeing Family Practice and Internal Medicine physicians, and helping expand IPC’s footprint in the south Florida market.Prior to becoming the CEO of Sanitas Florida, Juan was part of the core team that started the Sanitas expansion in the United States successfully adapting its core clinical model to the needs of the Florida, Connecticut and New Jersey markets. Juan is part of a leadership team that has grown Sanitas in the U.S. To serve hundreds of thousands of patients while achieving high patient satisfaction, exceeding quality scores and lowering total cost of care.
As the regional medical director for Sanitas, Raul serves as the clinical leader for the organization. He’s responsible for recruiting and developing a high performing team of physicians and clinicians across the entire Sanitas network in the United States. In addition, he works closely with the leadership team to implement strategies that enhance patient care including quality assurance, protocol and care guidelines development, cost management and patient engagement.Raul was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, where he attended medical school.
In 2001, Raul moved to the United States to complete his Internal Medicine residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital System, a Columbia University affiliated program, in New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Raul started as an internal medicine doctor at Sanitas and soon after became the medical director for one of the fastest growing locations within the Sanitas network. Before joining Sanitas, Raul worked at IPC Healthcare in Miami as a hospitalist assuming more administrative and leadership functions related to quality, credentialing and integration to Hospital systems. He served in the medical executive committee for internal medicine at Memorial Hospital Miramar. Aileen brings more than 15 years of experience in Human Resource Management, including strategic program management, employee and organizational development, employee relations, and cultural transformation.
Gloria is responsible for all aspects of operations, including managing medical support staff and cross-functional teams, and relationships with key stakeholders for current and future Sanitas Medical Center networks throughout Central and West Florida.Gloria earned her Master’s degree in Health Administration Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.She has an extensive career in operations and management, including hospital outpatient operations and oncology service line development at BayCare Health System. Gloria also served as Vice President of Operations for a Physician/Provider group as well as Business Consultant for Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group.Gloria continues to expand her expertise in the fields of Diversity and Inclusion across healthcare settings by serving in executive leadership roles for several organizations including the Tampa Bay Community Cancer Network and both the Central and Western Florida Chapters of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). With responsibility for all centers in Florida, Cecilia oversees the Sanitas organization’s Risk and Compliance program. Her overarching goal: to promote compliance as a behavior, not a task. She serves as a valuable resource, providing guidance to ensure that all business and medical activities meet the highest ethical standards.
She manages training for all employees in vital areas such as HIPAA and other regulations; procedures to combat Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA); occupational safety, including disposal of biomedical waste; incident reporting; and risk management and security issues.Cecilia also leads the training and other processes needed to earn recognition as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Nine Sanitas Medical Centers have achieved this important designation, with more on the way. She started with the company in 2015, at our Kendall location, the company’s flagship in the US.She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration from University of Phoenix and is certified as a HIPAA Professional. She’s on track to complete her Master of Law degree in Jurisprudence in Health Care Regulation from Florida State University. Andrew serves as the regional medical director for the Northeast region of Sanitas, which includes New Jersey and Connecticut.
Previously he had responsibility for New Jersey. Before joining Sanitas, he served as medical director at Valley Medical Group and Manhattan Physician Group. He’s also a clinical instructor for Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has been board-certified in Family Medicine since 2004.In addition to treating patients directly, Andrew works with his own team and Sanitas USA to develop new clinical programs that seek to constantly improve patient care.

He also helps plan growth strategy for the Northeast region’s future expansion, identifying potential sites, payers and community partners for possible collaboration with Sanitas.Andrew completed his undergraduate degree in biology from Drew University, graduating magna cum laude. He earned his medical doctorate from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark and completed his residency in Urban Family Medicine at Mount Sinai. As CEO in the collaboration between Sanitas and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Mark oversees all activities related to operations and growth in a 5-state area. His track record includes building innovative enterprises at both the regional and global levels.
He also brings significant experience in mergers and acquisitions to the table, along with in-depth knowledge of the health care industry in the US and abroad.By bringing health care directly to patients and consumers, Mark sees the Sanitas/BCBSTX collaboration as a way to remove barriers that prevent patients from accessing care, while still providing the highest quality for working families. He envisions introducing the same business model to all major metro and surrounding areas in Texas, reaching as many patient homes as possible.Mark’s interest in health care originated with efforts to improve water filtration in developing countries. Later, drawn by the promise of improved patient experiences and integrated health care delivery systems, Mark played a key role in creating the nation’s first Accountable Care Organization (ACO)—a care delivery approach that has gained in popularity over the last decade.With undergraduate and graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Mark earned his bachelor’s degree at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and a master’s degree in public health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Adriana provides medical leadership for all Sanitas Medical Centers in the Dallas and Houston metro areas. She’s responsible for making sure patients receive the highest-quality service from clinical and office staff members, implementing disease management programs, recruiting and hiring new medical staff members, and helping staff stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and findings.After starting with Sanitas as a primary care physician in one of the Sanitas locations in Miami, Adriana was promoted to Medical Director for that location; she served later as Regional Medical Director for all centers in the Miami-Dade area before taking on her new responsibilities in Texas. She’s especially proud that doctors at Sanitas have more time to spend with patients—a key element in delivering good care and establishing long-lasting and trusting relationships with patients. Working with teams that include medical assistants, Registered Nurses, patient care coordinators and others, Adriana appreciates the ability to give patients a level of support that goes beyond the traditional model.Adriana graduated from Medical School at Universidad Industrial Santander in Bucaramanga, Colombia and worked as general practitioner for 6 years.
She moved to the US, where she completed her Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She graduated in 2015 and is board-certified in Family Medicine.
